HELEN AINSON RETURN POLICY
By checking the “I agree with the terms and conditions” box on the checkout page and submitting your order, you agree to the terms and conditions of the following.
RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS & EXCHANGES
No returns, cancellations or exchanges on any evening wear, gowns, cocktail dresses, belts and jewelry (unless damaged: see below). All sales on these categories are final.
For all other categories; handbags, home and gift items, lingerie, outerwear, shoes, sportswear and wardrobe solutions, we have a 15 day policy. If 15 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. The package must be postmarked 15 days from date of purchase and have the return authorization number clearly written on the outside of the package. Packages without the return authorization number on the outside of the box will be refused. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for a return authorization number. Once we receive your returned item and your return is approved, we will issue you a refund. This refund can take up to 72 hours to process.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the handbag, home and gift items, lingerie, outerwear, shoes, sportswear and wardrobe solutions category and be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
Helen Ainson has the right to decide between eveningwear and sportswear.
We carefully inspect each item that is shipped from our store to be sure it is the style, size, and color that you ordered, free of damage or defects and will reach you before your wear date. It is common to have a dress or garment with loose beads. In no case will the garment be considered defective due to such issues. If you choose to have Helen Ainson tighten up any loose beads or appliques, you would be responsible for all shipping costs to and from.
If you receive an item that is damaged, a request for an exchange must be made within 24 hours of receipt of the goods via email and the exchange will only be made for the same item, size and color of the goods originally shipped. For all exchange inquires and return authorization numbers contact email@example.com. Once your email has been received, you will receive a RA number via email within 24-72 hours. Do not send back your purchase until you receive this confirmation as the package will be returned to you at your expense.
Returned goods must be returned in original condition. Returns are inspected upon receipt. Items must not have been worn, washed, altered, and must have all original tags attached and be in original packaging. Items with snags, rips, make-up stains, odors (i.e. cigarette smoke) or other damages will result in the item being returned to you. You must write the return authorization number on the outside of the box.
If your item is approved for being damaged, we will replace the item for the same size/color. If the item is no longer available you will receive an online store credit to use on your next purchase. Shipping charges are not refundable.
We have the right to refuse a return if the return instructions are not followed.
ALTERATIONS & SIZING
Our merchandise does not include alterations in the price. All items purchased online cannot be brought to Helen Ainson for alterations. You are responsible for contacting your local tailor or seamstress for any alterations. Helen Ainson is not responsible for what happens to your garment when you take it to your tailor or seamstress.
You are solely responsible for choosing the correct size(s) of your item(s). Alterations are inevitable so we suggest going up a size if you are unsure, as it is easier for your tailor or seamstress to take in a garment rather than let it out.
Colors vary depending on your computer monitor. Helen Ainson is not responsible for any color variations due to monitors, fabrics, dye lots, or the varying opinions of friends or relatives.
In stock orders are processed 24-72 hours of cleared payment, excluding weekends and major holidays. If an item is not in stock it can take up to 8 weeks for delivery. Please note your wear date in the special instructions box on the checkout page to insure we will get your item to you in time. If we are unable to provide you with the item (s) you ordered within your time frame then you will be refunded the full amount you paid. All orders are processed immediately and cannot be altered in any way. This includes billing, shipping, dress size, color or wear date. All orders ship free by selecting standard shipping at checkout. Two day shipping and overnight shipping is also available for an additional fee during the checkout process. All sales online cannot be picked up from our store. All sales will be shipped by FedEx ground unless you choose another option at checkout.
At this time we are only shipping inside the United States.

Helen Ainson respects your privacy and will not share, distribute or sell any information we collect, including email addresses.
Please be sure to provide an accurate email address when placing your order. Helen Ainson is not responsible for email addresses entered incorrectly by you. We cannot be held responsible if you do not check your email often, as this is how we will communicate information regarding your order(s).
