About Erica Jensen

Erica's mother, Helen Ainson, started the first store in New York City in 1948, and later opened a store in Greenwich, CT, where Erica worked during high school and college.

Erica opened Helen Ainson Darien in 1977, and built her company on the principles of personal service and outstanding selection.

Over the years, she has hand-picked a staff of well-educated, professional fashion consultants who share her belief in one-on-one client attention and is now able to focus on the strategic direction of Helen Ainson. 

Erica is also passionate about giving back to the Darien community, which she does through sponsorship of charitable community events and organizations and volunteering with the Chamber of Commerce.

Erica takes pride in Helen Ainson Darien's reputation as the most sought- after resource for fashionable women’s clothing and accessories in the Northeast.   Helen Ainson Darien has won Moffly Publications “Best of Evening Wear” category for 5 years in a row and has also won Connecticut Magazines “Best Women’s Clothing Store in the State of Connecticut” for the last two years.
